A recent report prepared by our partner Schlage Biometrics shows that labor represents a substantial portion of overall spending for nursing home facilities, long term care facilities and skilled nursing facilities. Additionally new Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) system reporting requirements, Medicaid cuts, and coverage protocol enacted by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) these employers are hard pressed to find solutions that enable them to manage expenses and increase profitability.
The report states that in an industry challenged by complicated ACA reporting requirements, lower Medicaid payments, higher liability costs, and decreasing profit margins, long term care facilities need innovative ways to drive down costs, while maintain quality of service.
Biometric time and attendance solutions enable nursing facilities to manage staff more efficiently, while removing administratively cumbersome paper based processes.
